Skillet Bacon Jalapeno Popper Dip
Ingredients:
● 16 oz. softened cream cheese
● 2 cups sour cream
● 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
● 1 cup pickled diced jalapenos
● 1 lb. bacon cooked and chopped
● 1 sleeve (or 1.5 cups) crushed Ritz crackers
● 4 tbsp. melted butter
● 2 tbsp. favorite all-purpose seasoning (I use Dan-O’s Hot Chipotle for this recipe)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and all-purpose seasoning until it is well combined. (it is okay to use a mixer for this step)
2. Add the pickled jalapenos, 2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese, and the crispy chopped bacon to the bowl. Mix well.
3. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.
4. Dump the mixture into a 10 inch cast iron skillet. Evenly spread out the dip.
5. In another bowl, mix together the crushed Ritz crackers and butter.
6. Top the dip in the cast iron skillet with the remaining cup of shredded cheese.
7. Now, top the dip with the Ritz cracker and butter mixture.
8. Place the dip in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
9. Garnish with more jalapenos if you’d like, serve, and enjoy!
