Ingredients:
4 thinly sliced chicken breast
Salt
Black Pepper
Paprika
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
3 tablespoons soy sauce
¼ cup honey
¼ cup chicken broth
½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
4 teaspoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions:
Preheat a 12 inch cast iron skillet over medium heat (3-5 minutes).
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit.
Pat dry the chicken breast, then season both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Add the olive oil and butter to the hot cast iron skillet.
When the butter is melted, add the chicken breast to the skillet.
Sear the chicken breast for 4 minutes, then flip.
While the chicken is cooking, prepare the sauce by whisking together the soy sauce, honey, chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and cornstarch.
Sear for 4 minutes on the other side, then flip again.
Reduce the heat to low, and dump the sauce over the chicken. The sauce will immediately begin to thicken and bubble. Spoon the sauce on top of the chicken breast, then add to the preheated oven.
Cook in the oven for 3 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees fahrenheit. Do not cook in the oven long or the sauce will burn.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then enjoy!
