Easy Skillet Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients:

● 12 ounces cooked fettuccine noodles

● 1 ½ cups shredded parmesan cheese

● 2 cups heavy whipping cream

● 1 ½ sticks unsalted butter

● 2.5 teaspoons minced garlic or 5 cloves

● ½ teaspoon salt

● ½ teaspoon black pepper

● ½ teaspoon dried parsley

● ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper


Instructions:

1. Cook fettuccine noodles according to the package or until al dente.

2. Strain noodles and rinse with cold water to stop them from overcooking and sticking together.

3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium low heat.

4. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.

5. Slowly add heavy whipping cream, stirring continuously.

6. Add salt, pepper, and parsley then mix well and cook for about 5 minutes.

7. Slowly mix in parmesan cheese, stirring continuously.

8. When cheese is melted and sauce is bubbling, fold in your cooked fettuccine noodles.

9. Remove from heat and serve immediately.


***Optional: Add some protein by topping with some sliced chicken breast or shrimp! Topping with more shredded parmesan and parsley adds a great look to this dish.
