County Fair Corn Dogs

Ingredients:

● 8 hotdogs of choice

● 1 cup cornmeal

● 1 cup flour

● 2 tablespoons sugar

● 2 teaspoons baking powder

● ½ teaspoon salt

● ! cup buttermilk

● 1 egg

● 3 tablespoons honey

● 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

● Oil of choice for deep frying


Instructions:

1. Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together.

2. Mix buttermilk, egg, honey, and vegetable oil together.

3. Combine wet and dry mixtures.

4. Pour some of the mixture into a tall glass.

5. Thread hotdogs onto wooden skewers, leaving about an inch of the dog without any skewer.

6. Pat hotdogs dry using a paper towel.

7. Dip hotdog into glass, completely coating it with the batter.

8. Gently drop coated hotdog into hot oil (About 350 degrees).

9. Fry corn dog 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.
