Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

Ingredients:

● 2 sticks unsalted butter

● 1 cup brown sugar

● ½ cup sugar

● 2 eggs

● 1 teaspoon vanilla

● 2 cups flour

● 2 tablespoons flour

● 1 teaspoon baking soda

● ½ teaspoon salt

● ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

● ¾ cup milk chocolate chips


Instructions:

1. Melt 2 sticks of unsalted butter in your 10 inch cast iron skillet over medium heat.

2. When the butter is fully melted, reduce heat to low, and mix in brown sugar and sugar.

3. Cook butter and both types of sugar until glossy and smooth.

4. Dump mixture into a mixing bowl, then chill in the freezer for about 15 minutes.

5. Remove mixture from freezer and mix in eggs and vanilla.

6. Mix together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.

7. Mix your wet and dry ingredients together well.

8. Add your chocolate chips to the dough and mix well.

9. Dump cookie dough into a cast iron skillet and spread out evenly.

10. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.

11. Remove cookie from oven, cover with foil, then bake for an additional 10 minutes.

12. Remove from the oven and let rest for at least 5 minutes.


***Optional: Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

***Optional: You can also use a 12 inch cast iron skillet if you prefer a thinner cookie.
